.CA updating WHOIS privacy setting

Because CIRA is committed to protecting the privacy of registrants of .CA domain names, CIRA does not display the personal information of individual registrants in the WHOIS. Only Canadian individuals can have domain privacy on their domain name.

Canadian individuals types are categorized as the following according to CIRA:
Canadian citizen – CCT
Permanent resident of Canada – RES
Aboriginal peoples (individuals or groups) indigenous to Canada – ABO
Legal representative of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident – LGR

All other CPR legal categories are considered to be non-individual registrants. A non-individual is not permitted to change their WHOIS privacy settings via their registrar and must contact CIRA directly.

If you registered your domain as a Canadian individual and would like to disable the WHOIS privacy feature on your domain name, please submit a support ticket for this request: https://www.hostpapa.com/dashboard/Login/
