How to clear browser cache on MacOS

Google Chrome

1. Find the three dots icon in the top bar and click it.

2. In the opened menu, click on the “Settings”.

3. Use the “search” form to find the “Clear browsing data” area:

4. Click the arrow “ ▶ “ icon to open the settings window that looks like below:

5. Select “All time” in the drop-down menu, then uncheck all except the “Cached images and files” option, and click the “Clear data” button.

6. You are done!

Opera

1. Click on the “Opera Developer” in the menu -> “Preferences”.

2. In the “Search” form type “cache” to find “Clear browsing data”.

3. Click the arrow “ ▶ ” to see the menu

4. In the opened menu select the “All time” time range, check the “Cached images and files” option, and click the “Clear data” button:

*make sure to uncheck “Browsing history” and “Cookies and other site data” options if you don’t want to get that data removed

5. You are done!

Safari (macOS Catalina 10.15.4)

1. In the “Safari” drop-down menu click on “Preferences…”.

2. In the newly opened window, please switch to the “Advanced” tab and be sure that the “Show Develop menu in menu bar” feature is enabled.

3. Close this window and switch to the “Develop” drop-down menu in the main Safari menu. Within that area, you would need to click on the “Empty Caches”.

4. You are done!

Safari (macOS Big Sur v. 11.2.1)

1. Navigate to the Safari -> Preferences…

2. Enable the “Show Develop menu in menu bar” option.

3. Find the “Develop” item in your top-bar menu and click on the “Empty Caches” in the drop-down menu that will open:
