If you wish to change the appearance of your Drupal 8 website, you can do so easily with the use of themes. Themes are a collection of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and image files that govern how your site looks.
You can choose to download a free theme from the Drupal theme repository, or purchase and install a premium theme from a professional designer. If you have the skills, or are willing to learn, you can even code your own Drupal 8 theme from scratch or customize an existing theme.
